Roofing SEO and Marketing for Roofers

Roofing SEO that gets your company found in every town you work, and marketing that turns the search into a booked inspection.

Roofing SEO is a fight for a short list of searches: roofer near me, roof replacement, roof repair, each with a town attached. Homeowners usually search after a storm or when they spot a leak, and they call one of the first few companies they see. If your roofing company is not in that first screen in the towns you serve, those jobs go to someone else.

My approach for roofers is the same one that worked for the two roofing clients below: a page for every county and every town you actually cover, a Google Business Profile with the right categories and services, and phones and chat that answer and book while your crews are up on a roof.

A roofer's appointments doubled, then a six-week rebuild added 48 pages

A roofing company covering eight South Jersey counties became a client in early 2025. I built and ran its lead capture from the start: every lead landed in the company's CRM, a chat assistant booked appointments, an AI voice agent answered the phone line, and a live dashboard showed what came in each week. Appointments went from 23 a month in January 2026 to 46 to 48 a month by March.

In May 2026 I rebuilt the website in about six weeks: 8 county pages and 40 town pages, cross-linked so each town supported its neighbors, every phone number tap-to-call, and online booking built in. The owner moved the domain to another vendor on June 22, 2026, so every number here comes from the engagement and nothing after it.

Roofing, siding and windows · South Jersey, NJ

A roofer's whole new site on Google in 6 days

This roofing, siding and window company came to me with a page-builder site that sat on page three or four of Google. I rebuilt it as a fast static site with 3 service hubs, 7 county hubs and 11 town pages, moved the blog over with 301 redirects, and set up the Google Business Profile with the right categories, a real description, the service area and 13 services. The new site went live on July 3, 2026.

All 30 pages in the sitemap were indexed within six days. The first website lead since May came in two weeks after launch.

SEO for Roofers

SEO for roofers comes down to coverage. A roofer usually works dozens of towns, and each town is its own search. I build a county page for each county and a town page for each town, and every town page talks about that town: the age of its housing, the storms it gets, the roofs you see there. Then I cross-link neighboring towns so the whole network lifts together. For one client, a single town page went from position 29.4 to 20.7 in the week after the cross-linking went in.

Roofing Marketing

Roofing marketing does not end at the click. Storm calls come in bunches and after hours, so I add tap-to-call on every page, online booking and an assistant that answers when you can't. On one roofer's best day, nine appointments were booked, four of them by the AI voice agent. I also keep storm weeks visible in the reporting, so a spike in one week is not averaged away by the quiet week after it, and I keep the booking link and the phone number at the top of every town page, because a homeowner with water coming through the ceiling is not going to scroll.

Roofing Marketing Agency, Without the Agency

Most roofing marketing agencies sell packages. I'm one person. I write the town pages, run the Google profile and read the numbers myself, and I report the slow weeks next to the good ones. Roofing is seasonal and storm-driven; I would rather show you that than hide it. What you get instead of a package is a plan built from your own search data: which towns already send you calls, which ones should and don't, and what each page needs to get there. When a page moves, you hear it from me, with the number next to it.

What I do for roofing companies

  • County hubs and town pages for every area you roof
  • Google profile categories for roofing, siding, windows and gutters
  • Tap-to-call, booking and after-hours answering
  • Storm-season tracking so you see the spikes
  • Phone tap and lead tracking from every page

FAQ

Questions roofers ask me

How long does roofing SEO take to work?

New county and town pages can index in days. For one roofer, the new Ocean County page sat at position 3.7 within 48 hours. Steady clicks and calls build over the following months.

Can you get me into the map pack in every town?

Not in every town; the map pack favors the roofers closest to the searcher. Town pages are how you win the towns farther from your shop, in the results under the map.

Do you do roofing ads too?

I can, but I start with the profile and the site. Ads sent to a weak site waste money. If ads make sense later, I set them up to call and text, not just clicks.

What about storm season?

Search jumps after storms. The site and the answering need to be ready before it happens, so the calls that night get answered and booked.

Do you work with roofers outside New Jersey?

Yes. My roofing clients so far are in South Jersey, but the work is the same in any market. Only the towns change.

Do you need photos of my roofs?

Yes, real ones. Homeowners trust photos of your own crews and your own jobs far more than stock pictures, and they make every town page stronger.

Want to see where your roofing company ranks?

I will check your town rankings, your Google profile and your site, and send you what I would fix first. Free.
