Painting Contractor Marketing and SEO for Painters

Painting contractor marketing built on what homeowners search: interior, exterior, cabinets, drywall, in their town.

Painting contractor marketing has a problem most trades don't: homeowners search for painters by the job. Interior painting, exterior painting, cabinet painting, deck staining, drywall repair. Each one is a separate search, and each one has a town attached. A painter with one services page is invisible for most of them.

So for painters I build a page per service, a page per county and a page per town, all matched to a Google Business Profile with the right categories. My newest client is a painting company in South Jersey, and its new site went live on October 13, 2026.

The painting site is days old, so here is what was built rather than results. For results from the same kind of build in other trades, see the Results page.

A painter's new site, launched October 13, 2026

A painting company signed with me in October 2026. I rebuilt its site on the same URLs it already had: 11 service pages, 6 county pages and 29 town pages, each town researched and written on its own. One lead form, on the contact page, GA4 with form and phone tap events, and a cleaned-up Google Business Profile with the right categories.

It went live on October 13, 2026, which is too new for honest numbers. I will put them here when there are some.

  • 11 service pages, 6 county pages, 29 town pages
  • Same URLs kept, so nothing it had earned was lost
  • Google Business Profile categories and service areas fixed
  • GA4 with form and phone tap tracking

SEO for Painters

SEO for painters starts with the service list. I give interior painting, exterior painting, cabinet painting and the rest their own pages, each answering what a homeowner wants to know before they call: prep, paint brands, how long it takes, what affects the price. Then the town pages, each written about that town's homes, so a painter can show up in places it really works instead of only where its shop is. I also check which painting searches your profile already gets shown for, so the first pages I build are the ones with demand behind them.

Marketing for Painters

Marketing for painters is also about the estimate. Painting is planned, not an emergency, so homeowners compare. Real job photos, clear answers and an easy way to ask for an estimate matter more than a discount. I keep it to one lead form on the contact page and make the phone and text tappable everywhere else. Reviews carry more weight for painters than for the emergency trades, because the homeowner has time to read them, so I help you ask for one at the right moment, when the last coat is dry and the homeowner is happy with it.

Painter Google Business Profile

Painters often have the wrong secondary categories on their profile, or categories for work they don't advertise. I set the categories to what you actually do, match the services to your site's pages and list the counties and towns you cover. I also check the photo section, because painters win or lose on before-and-after pictures, and I keep the profile posting finished jobs so it does not look abandoned between seasons. Every change on the profile is matched to a page on the site, which is the match Google rewards.

Painting Leads Through the Year

Exterior painting depends on the weather, so homeowners start looking before the season opens and the calendar fills fast. I want your exterior pages indexed and ranking before that rush, not in the middle of it, and your profile posts showing finished exterior jobs when people start searching. In the colder months the focus shifts to interiors, cabinets and drywall, and those pages carry the load. Reporting by season keeps a quiet month from looking like a problem, which is why the weekly report shows this week next to the four-week average instead of a single number on its own.

What I do for painting contractors

  • A page for each painting service you offer
  • County and town pages researched one town at a time
  • Google profile categories that match your real work
  • Job photo galleries that load fast
  • Estimate form, tap-to-call and GA4 tracking

FAQ

Questions painters ask me

Do you have results for painters yet?

My painting client launched on October 13, 2026, so not yet. The same build has produced results for roofers, remodelers and home service companies, which you can see on the Results page.

Should I have a page for every town I paint in?

For the towns you really work and want more of, yes, and each one written about that town. Thin copies with the town name swapped do not rank and can hurt.

Do painters need separate pages for interior and exterior?

Yes. They are different searches with different questions. One page for both usually ranks for neither.

What about cabinet painting and drywall?

If you do them and want them, they each get a page. They are often less crowded searches than painting itself.

Can you help with reviews?

I help you ask real customers at the right time and make it one tap for them. I never buy or write reviews.

Do you work with painters outside New Jersey?

Yes. I work with contractors anywhere in the US. The pages change with your towns; the method does not.

Is your painting company showing up for each service?

I will check which painting searches you show for and where you are missing. Free.
